1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the Pushlog mobile and watch apps, the Pushlog website, and the cloud services that support them. Pushlog is provided by Codecraft Solutions in South Africa ("Pushlog", "we", "us").
Pushlog does not sell personal information, show third-party advertising, or use personal information for cross-app tracking.
2. Data we handle
Account and profile data
When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the account identifier needed to authenticate you and, when the provider makes them available, your email address, name, and profile photo. You may also choose a Pushlog username. Your email is not shown to other Pushlog users.
Training and preference data
We store the training record you create, including completed rep counts, session dates and times, session duration, manual adjustments, progress totals, plan settings, reminder preferences, and sync timestamps. This lets Pushlog restore your record across devices and calculate your progress.
Friends and notifications
If you use optional friend features, we store usernames, friend requests, friend links, leaderboard totals, blocks, and safety reports you submit. If you enable notifications, we store a device messaging token, platform and time zone, notification preferences, and a history of Pushlog notifications so they can be delivered and shown consistently.
Camera processing
The optional live counter uses the front camera to detect the size of a face and count movement. Camera frames are processed on your device in real time and are not saved, uploaded, or added to your account. You can use manual entry instead.
Apple Health, Health Connect, and watch sensors
Health access is optional and is requested only when you enable it. Pushlog can write completed workouts to Apple Health or Health Connect. A connected watch may read heart rate and active energy during a live workout so those metrics can be shown during the session and written to the health store. Pushlog does not use health information for advertising, marketing, or data brokerage. Heart-rate and active-energy samples are not uploaded to the Pushlog cloud account.
Website and technical requests
This website does not use advertising cookies or analytics scripts. Cloudflare may process request information such as IP address, browser details, security signals, and server logs to deliver and protect the website and API.
3. Why we use data
We use the data described above only as needed to:
- authenticate you and secure your account;
- save, restore, export, and delete your training record;
- build and adapt the training plan you request;
- run optional friend, leaderboard, reminder, and notification features;
- write workouts to a health service when you explicitly enable that feature;
- prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and maintain the reliability and security of Pushlog; and
- meet legal obligations and respond to valid legal requests.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, these activities rely on providing the service you requested, your consent for optional permissions and notifications, our legitimate interest in securing and maintaining Pushlog, or compliance with law.
4. Service providers and disclosures
Pushlog uses a small number of providers to operate the service:
- Firebase for authentication, app integrity checks, and push messaging;
- Cloudflare for website delivery, API hosting, security, and database storage;
- Apple and Google when you choose their sign-in, health, app-store, or device services; and
- Google ML Kit for on-device face detection used by the optional camera counter.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. We do not authorize them to use Pushlog account data for advertising on our behalf. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Your choices and controls
- Camera: decline or revoke camera permission and log reps manually.
- Health: keep health sync off, revoke permissions in Apple Health or Health Connect, and delete health records there.
- Notifications: turn individual Pushlog reminders off and revoke notification access in device settings.
- Friends: do not add friends, or remove an existing connection.
- Export: use You → Data → Export JSON to share a copy of your Pushlog record.
- Delete: use You → Account → Delete account, or follow the online deletion instructions.
6. Retention and security
Account and cloud training data are generally kept while your account remains active. When account deletion completes, Pushlog removes the account data held in its cloud database and requests deletion of the Pushlog sign-in account. We may retain limited safety-report or security information where law requires it, to resolve a dispute, or to protect the service from abuse.
Pushlog uses encrypted network connections and access controls, and limits cloud API access to an authenticated account. No system is perfectly secure; please protect access to your Apple or Google account and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
Providers may process data in countries other than your own. When required, we rely on provider terms and lawful safeguards for international processing.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, or to receive a portable copy. You may also withdraw consent for optional processing. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Send a request to info@codecraftsolutions.co.za. We may ask for information needed to verify that the request relates to your account. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority; in South Africa, this is the Information Regulator.
Children
Pushlog is not directed to young children. If you are not old enough to consent to the processing of personal information in your country, use Pushlog only with a parent or guardian's involvement. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent.
Policy changes
We may update this policy when Pushlog or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated in the app or through another appropriate channel.
